Sorry for not posting lately, but I really haven't felt like posting. I've been in quite a rut the last week and it has me second guessing my play. My biggest nemesis has been AK as I don't think that I have won with it in the last week when AIPF. Approximately 8 times I found myself all in pre and lost every single one of them where I either didn't hit or when I did, my opponent hit sets. It's been quite depressing. I'm continuing to play through it and know that it will rebound soon enough but it's difficult right now. Thankfully, rakeback has helped keep things from being really bad. Just have to keep plugging along.

i am interested to hear how you found yourself all in so many times pf with ak.
against a 20bb fair enough, but if it was deep it sounds a bit spewy. are you always willing to play for stacks on a coinflip or small chance crushed by aa-kk. or are you expecting to see Aq-AJ as often as AA_KK.
you seem like a thinking and good player so i would imagine you would be prepared to give up the dead money a few times and wait till your more like 60-40.

None taken at all. At 100 and 200nl, I'm willing to take AK 100bb deep to the felt every time because it is likely going to be at least a 3bet pot and once that much gets in, you really can't do anything but get it in (most of the time) It's rare to run into AA or KK and people will jam all kinds of stuff at these levels that it makes it profitable in the long run. The other thing is that you can get hands like JJ and below to fold many times with the fold equity and if called, you have good equity versus them.
v interesting. i dont take that line so much, but if you r prepared to play for stacks, as u say, you need to do it 100% of time to even out the flips and be marginal winner if, as you say, you can fold out the tt-qq which is going to be more likely at 200nl than 100nl.
personally i prefer to play ak speculativly around 50% of time, ie not auto 3betting it to a raise, getting value from weaker, so i dont always build pot pre, but no "correct" answer here
